About
Bilingual Two-Child Daycare
We have one native english speaker and one native spanish speaker. Reading is taught starting around three years old. Our daughter will be attending kindergarten this fall and we want to keep the daycare going. We wish to have no more than two children, which means we can add one now, and one more when our daughter goes to school. Weekly music lessons are provided and practice is encouraged.
Reading
Our daughter reads at a second grade level, and we have a method for teaching reading that we believe we can apply to other children.
Music
We have pianos, guitars, drums, xylophones, percussion, ukuleles, violins (1/16), cellos, and other instruments. Our daughter plays the violin and has perfect pitch and we have a method for teaching music to early learners. A teacher comes once a week for an hour.
Recreation
We have numerous outdoor activities on the property as well as a creekside trail across the street with tree swings. We often go to Tilden Park and the Zoo as we have a season pass that can take families. When public access opens up we will be going out again.
What we don't have
We don't have television and children are not not allowed access to TV, smart phones, or ipads. We don't serve candy, or junk food.
