About Us

Little Stars Family Childcare Inc. is a home based business and it has been welcoming children and their families in our community since 2002.

This is a State Certified Family Childcare Program and our license allow us to provide care for 11 children between 10 weeks to 12 years.

We obtained the OPQ designation in the State of Oregon for 2012-2015. This designation acknowledge the achievement of quality standards that support children's development.

We offer an educational environment with a developmentally appropriate preschool program and the opportunity for children to be exposed to Spanish as a foreign language.

Our childcare program maintains a low caregiver/child ratio to ensure individualized attention, which helps to build a solid relationship with your child.

The staff has many years of experience working in the field and they have ongoing training and education in Early Childhood Education. We are proud members of the Oregon Association for the Education of Young Children (OAEYC) and the National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC), which are professional organizations that act in behalf of the young children.

This is an eco-friendly environment. We use cleaners, hand soaps and art materials that prevent your children from being exposed to chemicals and allergens that trigger allergies or asthma.

We participate in the USDA Child Care Food Program. Children are served healthy meals and snacks. Our daily meals include sources of protein, whole grains, fruit and vegetables. We use milk and seasonal fruits and vegetables that are organic.

To provide Childcare services in a safe, clean, nurturing and home-like environment where the child will explore consistent learning experiences to master skills that are the foundation for a successful school experience and in life.

Our Philosophy

We believe that the first five years are the most important in the child's life and that each child is unique and develops at their own level of capacity. We are also aware of the benefits of exposing children to a second language at an early age.

At Little Stars we strive to provide the highest quality bilingual early childhood education program that promotes the child's healthy growth and development in the Physical, Intellectual and Social-Emotional areas
