I received my BA from San Francisco State University in Child & Adolescent Development. I am currently pursuing a Master in Education at SFSU. I have experience as a home daycare provider as well as center based teacher.

Children should be giving the opportunity to learn in a safe and welcoming environment. The environment should represent children's cultural background. I believe young children should learn differences between each other because that will help them understand uniqueness.

We practice emergent curriculum when planning activities because we want children to feel value while in our care. This practice allows us to show children our appreciation and respect to their ideas and interests. We like to preserve uniqueness and children's own desire to learn more about their surroundings. We do our best to create a curriculum that focuses on thinking skills rather than teacher directed activities.

I am a strong believer children learn through social interaction between adults and peers. Learning social skills aids children in school readiness and their abilities to communicate effectively in a social setting.
