Little Shepherd Kidz Place

Our purpose is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children entrusted to our care. We offer children the same type and quality of experiences that they have at home and enhance those experiences by capitalizing on the child's remarkable receptivity to new learning. Each child's uniqueness is taken into consideration as he/she is loved, cared for, and stimulated to grow and learn.
We acknowledge that no one has more knowledge or information about a child than his/her parents. Therefore, parents are a vital part of the teaching team. The data we receive from parents about their child's temperament, schedule and preferences helps our teachers plan each child's day to ensure that their individual needs are met. Communication is a vital part of our relationship with parents.
Each child will be provided with experiences that will encourage them to reach their full potential. Developmental milestones will be approached with enthusiasm, persistence and joy. Our job is to make sure that each child has numerous successful experiences every day to give them a positive self-concept and to ensure a lifelong love of learning.
We believe our teachers need to know and understand developmental growth patterns, they can anticipate developmental needs and create environments and activities that encourage emerging skills without frustration or fear of failure.

Little Shepherd Kidz Place is part of Mount Carmel Home, which is committed to creating an environment that promotes companionship, opportunities to give care, and creates variety and spontaneity on a daily basis. At Little Shepherd Kidz Place the children will share activities with the elders/residents in hopes of enhancing and enriching the lives of all involved.
