Little Mommy's Daycare

I am a 34 year-old mother of two (ages 2 1/2 and 2 months) who would love to include your little one (or ones!) into our day. My personal parenting style is best described as attachment parenting- my partner and I place importance on gentle and natural parenting techniques, babywearing, cloth diapering and healthy eating. I believe it is inherently important for young children to learn through a variety of types of play and by following their lead a caregiver or parent can provide them the best opportunity to learn. I want to work with parents to discover the best possible style of care for your child. I consider myself an extension of what they are learning and how they are growing when they are home. I am certified in child CPR and First Aid.

Aside from being a mother to my two cool boys, I have experience babysitting throughout high school and college. After being in the workplace for the last ten years (government affairs), I have decided I am most fulfilled being a mom and working with children and have made the move out of the office and into the exciting/terrifying/evolving world of children.

We live on a quiet suburban street with a large back yard, three small dogs, and a child friendly living area where your littles will spend the majority of their time. We like to play with blocks, color, experiment with instruments, help with cooking, read books, dress up in costumes, run races outside (or just look at the grass and bugs!) and explore different sensory activities. When my oldest turns three this summer, I plan to lead a relaxed preschool curriculum from home.
