Little Lions Preschool

Little Lions Preschool offers a supportive classroom that allows for children to expand their learning and development. It is our desire to offer children a safe and loving environment that inspires natural curiosity while fostering physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. We strive to provide nurturing relationships and positive early learning experiences. We value an emphasis on learning through open ended play in order to create memories and “aha” of discovery. The program's balance between teacher-structured and student-choice activities is comfortable and realistic for the young child.

Little Lions Preschool is a high school laboratory preschool serving the needs of young children ages 3 -5 year olds , as well as the high school students enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Program. The Pima County JTED offers this program as part of Arizona Career and Technical Education. As a component of our program, the high school students observe, plan, and work with the children under the direction of our professional staff.

Quality First
Little Lions Preschool has achieved a five star rating from Quality First. Quality First, a signature program of First Things First, partners with regulated child care and preschool providers to improve the quality of early learning across Arizona. Research has shown that children with access to high-quality early learning programs are better prepared for kindergarten, do better in school, and are more likely to graduate and go on to college. Quality First participating providers work with a coach to assess their programs and implement quality improvement plans in areas that research shows help young kids thrive.
