About
I offer home daycare for ages 0-5.
I will only have accept 4 children enrolled at a time to keep my ratio small and to make sure that I have enough love and attention to meet the needs of every child.
In my home I practice positive discipline and view every child as a unique and valuable human being worthy of respect.
I view discipline as a learning experience for the child and strive to never put a child down or make them feel bad about themselves. I do a lot of talking about choices. Every kid (and adult) makes bad choices sometimes but each moment is a new chance to make a better choice and we will be working on how to make good choices.
I also want to make it clear that positive discipline does not also mean permissive discipline. Boundaries and requests of the children will be well thought out and firm.
