In-Home Daycare

Hi parents! One of the most difficult decisions a parent has to make is where to put their child in daycare. I am here to make that decision easier for you while you're away. I provide a safe and nurturing environment for your child in my extremely clean home daycare. I focus on your child/children by giving them the individualized care they need to be happy, healthy and well socialized.
I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, stimulating, fun, educational environment in my home with a semi-structured play plan. Activities will include free playtime, structured playtime, large motor skill playtime, small motor skills activities, nutrition, cultural activities, and other educational yet fun activities. I will also provide nutritious, mostly organic meals and snacks, and encourage good personal hygiene skills and manners. All children will also learn Spanish as well as sign language.
Through a mixture of guided and un-directed creative play with an award winning curriculum, children in my care will have the opportunity to learn about colors, shapes, numbers, letters, animals, seasons, feelings, senses, opposites, manners, and creative concepts such as "pretend" play, art, music, drama, languages and dance.
These may sound like big goals for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, but children can learn all of these things and more through creative play. I do not believe in pushing any child to learn at an accelerated rate, and will not make a child feel pressured to participate in activities. By providing the right kind of fun & safe environment, I believe that children will learn at their own pace.
Some things that we do: We have tea parties where we all dress up in dress up clothes and bake cookies together and have tea sandwiches. We have water day every other week. We build forts and only watch educational TV, which I buy the apps for through the Dept. of Education, and we do a lot of fun activities. Every day is new and exciting, and the children all look forward to coming to school each morning to find out what activity we will be doing that day. I can help with potty training if needed. All of the toddlers learn to take care of our butterflies in our butterfly garden and learn to garden, and see the benefits of seeds turning into a beautiful flower, that they take care of themselves, teaching responsibility.
