Little Lads & Lassies Learning Center

Little Lads & Lassies has had the privilege to be a part of the Ascension Parish community for the past 38 years. Founder and director, Lisa Tate, has a B.S. in Family, Child, and Consumer Science with a concentration in Early Childhood Development and Education. She is a dedicated hands-on director and teacher who cares about all children and their families, whether they attend Little Lads & Lassies or not.

Little Lads & Lassies is the leader in early childhood development and education. It was the second learning center to open in Ascension Parish.

It is an academically approved preschool by the Louisiana Dept of Education. We are a leading partner in the early childhood network with Ascension Parish Public Schools. Our focus being "that all children enter kindergarten ready to learn".

We are a small personable preschool that believes, "that early childhood professionals are not only responsible for the care and education of children, but for their families as well". We strive to have positive relationships with all.

We provide extended care before and after school for not only our own preschool, but for some of the public schools. The public school buses transport to and from Duplessis, Dutchtown Primary & Middle, Spanish Lake, and Central Middle.

We have a fabulous summer camp where children learn to play and develop life time friendships. Swim in our in-ground pool, play on our large tree shaded playground, celebrate themed weekly parties, play Bingo for prizes, cook, play games, read, and create.
