Little Gifts Daycare

LGD is a licensed family daycare which provides care and education for ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Rates include meals, snacks, and curriculum.

Little Gifts is passionate about providing a quality environment, engaging all ages of children in educational moments, providing healthy foods with tried and true, kid tested and parent approved recipes, and encouraging each child to be confident in their individual skills as they grow into little people, ready for school.

Kristina homeschooled her own children, now in middle school and high school, for eight years, so she naturally incorporates learning conversations into the day, and provides preschool curriculum, using a letter of the week as a guide. Kristina loves to be creative in her spare time, and this enthusiasm for all things paper, color, cut and paste, naturally spills over into lesson planning.

The child care area focal point is a large bookcase filled with many books, good old-fashioned toys, and educational manipulatives and games. Many more toys and supplies are stored downstairs, near the sleeping area, and are rotated weekly. The bathroom, kitchen and eating area are all adjacent to eat other with great line-of-sight, enabling optimal supervision no matter the childcare task.

A walkout backyard provides ample space for lawn games, and the proximity to the neighborhood playground enables us to visit it daily (weather permitting). A quarter mile paved trail adjacent to the park is just the right distance for little legs, but long enough and wild enough to discover bugs, caterpillars and many kinds of wild flowers and berries. The local library is near enough for weekly outings to story time.
