Little Friends Childcare

Hi!

My name is Ami and I have been in the childcare and preschool field for over 15 years. Since my mother has a strong background in child care (owning a large preschool center through my childhood) it sparked my interest at an early age. Through the years I have provided care as a nanny, preschool teacher, infant supervisor, licensed home childcare provider, Girl Scout Leader, playgroup coordinator, mom and step mom. I left the childcare field in 2010 and have now decided to re-open my doors as children are truly my passion.

I live in a family friendly neighborhood in a convenient location in SE Aurora. I have a large backyard, and we love to spend lots of time outside having picnics, playing ball, and doing other fun activities. We enjoy going on field trips to the library, parks, museums, zoos and much much more! We have free time and structured time throughout the day that includes time for play and learning. I believe in learning through play so we do lots of games, reading, role play, problem solving, crafts, coloring, talking and singing.

I take great pride in opening my home to your child so that they may be provided with a loving and nurturing environment in which they can thrive. All of my certifications including CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions are current.

I understand that each child is unique and will teach lessons that promote acceptance, sharing, responsibility, respect, compassion, and team work. I will use my training and child care experience to help your child continue their development by combining both play and educational learning and will strive to make your child feel happy and secure. I will provide a daily routine that will stimulate your child with age appropriate activities.

I aim to help your toddler feel good about him/herself, learn social skills, and develop thinking skills in an effort to meet the needs of the growing child for love, guidance and knowledge.

Our activities are designed to cultivate children's self-esteem and positive feelings toward learning. Different levels of ability, development, and learning styles are expected, accepted, and used to design the appropriate activities. Activities focus on reading, numbers, colors, shapes and more.

School Aged children are offered a variety of activities during the time they are in my care. I understand how important family time is and will do my best to help your child complete any assignments possible before they are picked up.
