We believe in a "learning through living" philosophy, which means we incorporate learning into everything we do, whether at work or at play! We also strive to include parents as much as possible into your child's day, including sending home a daily summary of each visit, and pictures regularly sent to your smartphone for no extra fee :)
Nutritionally, every bite counts for little growing bodies, and all food served here is natural, organic, and made up of fresh fruits and veggies, lean proteins, whole grains, and plenty of water. We skip the sugary cereals, and serve up omelets and whole wheat pancakes for breakfast, pass on the pizza and hand out baked chicken, brown rice and broccoli, and load up on snacks like apples, bananas, granola, yogurt, and grapes.
Children respond best to not only being shown what is wrong, but how to make it right. That's why we practice positive reinforcement in any corrections needed, and we make sure each child gets hands on practice on how to make a better choice next time! The behavior is redirected, preserving the self esteem and ensuring each child feels loved instead of ashamed or scolded.
Some little ones do well in a large group setting, but for the most part we have learned that kiddos do their very best when they have one special person as their caregiver, in a small home environment. They never have to act out or worry about not getting enough attention and love; they have more than they know what to with :) Lots of hugs, lap time, one on one time, are all things that can be really hard in a commercial day care, but are an every day thing here at Little Blessings.
If you want your child to have a home away from home while you have to be away from him or her, I would personally love to welcome them into my heart, and my home. Whatever it takes for them to feel most comfortable - keeping loveys or favorite toys here, or that special song that makes them feel extra special, is exactly what they will get here. Your, and their, happiness is our number one priority!
