Little Bees Daycare

Hello, My name is Rachel Swarm. I have my BA in child development and have been working in child care for over 10 years in various capacities such as after school program teacher and tutor, summer day camp director, and preschool teacher for the past eight years. I am starting my own home daycare in order to be home with my two daughters, while continuing to do what I love which is educating and caring for young children. I strive to provide an enriching, safe, loving, fun environment in which each child can grow, learn and thrive. Each day is filled with exciting learning opportunities from playtime to outdoor exploration to preschool and kindergarten readiness. Each child has the opportunity to engage in circle time, music and movement, outdoor play, pre reading and writing activities, art and science, story time, dramatic play and building fine and gross motor skills. I believe that play is crucial to the development to each and every child. Learning happens during everyday experiences from mealtime, to playtime, to circle time.

We have a large indoor play area with many books, toy and learning activities for every age. We have a beautiful large backyard with a play structure, sand box and many outdoor toys such including many ride on toys, garden tools for little hands, and sidewalk chalk!

Our hours are 7am to 6pm, offering both full time and part time care for ages one to six. Lunch and two snacks are provided daily using fresh foods such as fruits and veggies and whole grains.

Our daily schedule includes indoor and outdoor play, age appropriate learning activities and games, art and cooking projects, and circle time. I believe play in crucial to the development of every children and believe that learning happens through everyday experiences from playtime to meal time to nap time.
My desire is to create a safe, nurturing, fun environment for every child that enters my care.
