Hello! My name is Kristin Huntley. I opened an in-home learning center early September 2016.
About me:
-26 years old
-Married to a chef, have a 3.5 old daughter, and a son due May 11th
-Bachelors in Elementary Education with minor in Literacy
-Previously taught 1st grade, had 27 students and no teacher aide
-Continued my education so I am now certified to teach birth-6th grade
-CPR/First Aid Certified through AHA
-Sleep Safe Certified through DHSS
-Volunteered at programs such as Ready Readers and StudioSTL
-Volunteered in nursery for several Girl Scout camps and Church nurseries (during Sunday mass and VBS)
-Worked as a nanny for same family for over 5 years
-Was lead teacher in several different early childhood classroom during my career, mainly focusing on infant and toddler development
-Will be Early Childhood Special Education Certified summer of 2018
About the Learning Center:
-Fresh curriculum, written entirely by me, and differentiated for ALL ages to develop motor skills and character development
-Monthly themes with weekly sub-themes, inducing crafts, sensory experiments, lots of hands on manipulatives, and even writing projects for verbal children! I have published several books through StudioSTL and even planned and directed several brand new sessions. As long as kiddo's are verbal, we can write together!
-Nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snacks! (Parents are invited to eat with us with advanced notice--- did I mention my husband is a chef?!)
-Private daycare entrance/exit
-Large, dramatic play area, kids library, separate kitchen area, and full bathroom all in the basement for daycare use only.
-Daily, real time updates and pictures sent to your phone or email
-and so, so much more!
