Lil Shepherds Early Learning Center

I have been in the childcare business since 1999 and I love my job. I offer quality, dependable, safe, accurate care. I operate a non-licensed family childcare home. My home is an Early Learning family care home and that is what we do, We Learn. I truly believe that children learn while having fun. Although I am a in-home childcare provider, that does not stop my children from learning, it only makes it more interesting and fun.
Before getting into childcare, I was a Certified Nurse Assistant for over 5 years at Joy Health & Rehab in Cleveland Ms. I begin working in a daycare center after leaving the nursing field and now operating my own family care, I now have my CDA in Family Childcare. I am certified in heart saver Adult & Infant first aid/CPR/AED. I am a mother of 5 ( 3 grown and 2 still in college). I am that mother that is a mother first to her children and a friend when they need friendly advice. Always letting them know to never give up on their dream or allow anyone to stop them or get in the way.
Lil Shepherds provide your child with nutritious meals daily (breakfast, lunch, & snacks), we have an open door policy, we become independent lil scholars, along with creating my own curriculum, I use mother goose time lessons. Upon leaving Lil Shepherds, your child would have learned upper/lower case ABC's, numbers, colors, shapes, opposites, beginning/ending sounds, how to spell their name, being independent, working independent & in groups, and so much more. I also offer simple math & science. We explore outside with little limits, children will play in the onsite playground in my huge back yard and sometimes we will go to the neighborhood park to play.
I truly love my job of providing childcare for my parents. I enjoy working with ages 2-5 because they are little sponges that take in everything they learn. I love to see their little faces when they learn something new. That is the joy of my day and the highlight of my job so I am always looking for new things to introduce to my babies.
