Infants/Toddlers: Your little one will be happy, healthy, and loved here! I have a lot of experience working with infants of all ages and in groups of all sizes. We have all manner of infant seats and toys including WonderBug, Boppy, Bumbo, bouncy seat, gym mats, and more. However, I am a fan of having little ones out of "containers" and interacting with their environment as much as possible! I want to be your partner in the care of your child and will follow your lead, as much as possible. Sometimes "containers" are for your child's protection to get them up and out of the way when older children are playing. It also gives little ones a better opportunity to observe and learn from those around them. Little ones will be a part of as many of our activities as possible, including arts and crafts, sensory, music, and more.
Preschoolers: Preschoolers are considered children ages two and up in our program. My goal is to get them ready for kindergarten using a variety of activities and experiences. Our weekly curriculum offers arts and crafts, sensory experiences, math and science activities, gross motor exercises (with plenty of outside time), music with movement, reading and literacy, and much more! Activities will revolve around a weekly theme, but they will also be matched to children's interests and needs. Your child will have a chance to work with basic concepts such as colors, shapes, letter and number recognition, spatial concepts, and more. All of this is done with the goal of preparing your child to excel in school and in life. Formal assessments will be done at least twice a year to review children's abilities, strengths, and areas for growth.
We offer part-time and full-time care to all children, from 6 weeks old and up. Our running philosophy is that every child is unique. Children develop at varying rates, come in many shapes and sizes, and have differing strengths and needs. Though development follows a typical pattern, individual differences must always be taken into account when working with all children. Quality care should take place within the context of a safe, caring, accepting, and enriching environment. This is all done with the goal of helping every child to reach his or her full potential.
