About the business
We believe that learning should be engaging and hands-on! We teach critical thinking and logic, not just memorization. All tutoring and class sessions are taught by a previous master elementary teacher.
Private Tutoring: This is not a canned program. We assess your child and create individualized lessons based on his/her needs. You receive daily reports of your child's progress.
* Preschool, Kindergarten, Elementary ages
* Weekly appointments available
* Reading, phonics, phonemic awareness
* Math, critical thinking, logic & strategies to complete "word problems"
* Writing: paragraphs, essays, stories
Kindergarten & 1st Grade Summer Enrichment Classes:
* 2 days/week
* 1 hour sessions
* Small group size
* Convenient Eastside location
* Flexible times: morning, afternoon, evening
* $15 per session
Curriculum:
Zoo-phonics: Each letter is associated with an animal, sound and physical signal. For example, Allie Alligator is made by opening and closing the hands to signify an alligator's mouth. Children would make the "short a" sound while doing this. As children learn the sounds, they are able to physically sound out and signal words.
Math & Science: Math and Science are taught in project-based activities. Children will learn critical thinking skills, number sense and basic operations.
Home Connections: Each child will receive a package of activities to reinforce the learning at home. This kit includes: board and card games, cd of songs & stories, weekly reports & ideas to keep the learning going!
Master Artist Program for Little Ones: The Master Artist Program is an engaging experience in which children learn about a master artist and then produce their own masterpiece based on the master artist's style or favorite medium.
