Learn Through Fun

Learn Through Fun is an encouraging, respectful, and stimulating in-home daycare for your baby or toddler! Cloth diapers and/or elimination communication are welcome, though not necessary. Your child's mind and body will thrive through an award-winning homeschool curriculum that emphasizes hands-on exploration, social interaction at weekly library groups, and daily playtime at indoor and outdoor playgrounds. I firmly believe that children gain confidence, perseverance, and grit by being allowed to try and fail, though I will always be safely beside them with praise or a hug (or both!), encouraging them to learn new skills and stretch their budding brains.

I am a part-time stay-at-home mom of a spirited 1-year-old (will be full-time at home starting May 21, 2016, and available 8am-7pm Monday through Friday) and a part-time certified teacher (high school Geometry, though I have experience tutoring pre-K children through 12th grade students). After my maternity leave as a full-time teacher (8 years teaching experience), I realized my passion had shifted to childcare, and I was blessed to find a part-time job so that my husband and I could take turns caring for our daughter at home. I cannot wait for May 21 when my full attention can be on finding more fun ways for my child to grow cognitively and physically! My daughter and I would love to share our fun-filled days of learning and laughter with your child! We have two gentle dogs, but if your child is not comfortable with this, the fenced-off dog-free zone is where all the baby toys are anyways :)
