About
I am a Licensed in-home child care provider with the Department of Family and Protective Services with 5+ years' experience in day care as well as 9+ years of being a mother (having two children of my own 8 and 4). I have CPR and First Aid certifications. I am registered with the state food program and only offer healthy and nutritious snacks and meals. I also attend (at a minimum) 35 hours of continued child education/business training classes throughout the year.
This is a "play based home," meaning that my curriculum is integrated throughout the day using arts & craft, song, games, indoor and outdoor play, theme days, and a variety of other activities that will help stimulate your child's intellectual, social, emotional and physical development.
I want them to feel at home, but learn as though they were in a preschool. This prepared environment allows your child to discover his or herself and his or her creativity, and to learn effortlessly.
On a personal note, I have invested a lot of time, money, and effort into my daycare. I want to give the kids in my care the best of everything. I have researched child development and found that hands-on learning is by far the best. I have put together a fun and interactive curriculum for ages one to five. During this time they overcome so much, from the first time they roll over to learning how to read, count, spell as well as develop ever important social skills. This is one of the most important stages of development in their life. They absorb so much information at this age!!
