Once per week, I keep my sister's children, sometimes twice a week. She has a 9-month-old son, 7-year-old daughter, and 14-year-old son. I also have a 6-year-old daughter of my own. I have cared for the same child for the last 3 years, who is now 7-years-old. I have also cared for their pets for long periods of time while they are on vacations. I also kept a co-worker's child for 6 months, 4 days a week, after school until she got home from work between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. Her son was 4 years old at the time in pre-K. When I sit for children, I like to do fun arts and crafts to stimulate their minds. Sometimes we just have movie nights and snacks. With girls, we enjoy nail painting and hair styling as I am a licensed barber. There are lots of possibilities with children to keep them entertained and I myself have a blast playing along.
