About
I am a certified elementary and special education teacher who has made the decision to leave the classroom to begin a childcare program in my home.
About me: The daughter of an in-home child care provider. I assisted my mother in her child care business throughout my teenage years and am very comfortable with caring for children in my home. I have 10+ years of babysitting experience, three summers of nanny experience, and I worked in different preschools throughout my undergraduate and graduate education. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Developmental Psychology/Child Development from the University of Rochester and my Master's Degree in Elementary/Special Education from the University of Virginia. I have five years teaching experience in the elementary classroom, with Kindergarten through 7th grade students. I had my first child in March 2015 and am excited to bring my educational experience to my home childcare business.
About my program:
-Open Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
-Available for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.
-Montessori-inspired, child-led curriculum with learning activities incorporated into child play, curriculum designed by an experienced teacher.
-Fully fenced-in yard for safe, fun outdoor activities.
-Cloth diaper/breastfeeding friendly.
-Small group size.
-Daily walks or other outings.
-Healthy meals and snacks included.
-New York State licensed.
-First Aid, CPR certified.
