Ladybug Learning Academy

My name is Jessica Wolanin and I am a certified and licensed teacher for children with and without special needs. I recently graduated with my masters degree in reading and language arts. I am starting a licensed in home daycare on August 24th, 2015. I live in Manchester in the Buckley school district. I have openings for 3 children ages 2-5 full time and 2 children ages 2-12 part time. Children in my care will participate in many early learning opportunities. Children ages 2 and up will learn using a preschool based curriculum to prepare for kindergarten while still being developmentally appropriate and lots of fun! I have previously taught kindergarten and second grade so I am well-aware of the high expectations in elementary schools. My philosophy is that children learn through play so there will be many opportunities for learning through fun experiences at my home. I know how hard it is to leave your little ones with someone other than yourself. My biggest promise to parents is that I will love and care for your child as though they were my own. Creating a positive relationship with the families of the children in my care is a key component of my belief in child care. My hours are 7:30-5:30 and I have references if you would like other mom's input as to the standard of care that I hold. We will go on many field trips to nearby playgrounds, museums, parks, farms, zoos, aquariums, etc. I also have a fenced in backyard that we will spend a lot of time exploring the outdoors in.
