Welcome to La Petite Preschool, French immersion learning! A daycare rich in discovery and learning in Mason.
My name is Sylvie and I am of French native and passionate about teaching French to children. I sincerely believe that mastering this beautiful language is an invaluable gift that you can give to your child! Early exposure is crucial to learning a foreign language. 2.5 to 5 years old is the best age to learn a new language effectively because they simply absorb the new language naturally while having fun. The daily schedule offers a balance between small groups and individual, personalized instruction. The social program is based on safe, stimulating and joyful lessons, in a warm and family atmosphere.
At La Petite Préscolaire, children learn French through play, discovery of their environment, songs, dance, stories, imitation, art, workshops, mathematics, science, gardening, cooking/pastry. The development of gross and fine motor skills, social and emotional skills, literacy and creativity is promoted through daily routines and different activities. The food is homemade and organic. Kids grow their own fruits and vegetables throughout the seasons, learn sustainable gardening, and eat healthier foods they love learning to cook with easy recipes! They collect eggs from the chicken coop and learn to care for and respect the animals.
At La Petite Préscolaire, children learn autonomy, sharing, mutual aid, compassion and respect for others and nature. Inspired by Montessori methods, I prioritize these values in education.
I have 8 years of professional experience working with young children in nursery schools as a child minder and French teacher.
