About the business
WELCOME TO THE KUMON MATH AND READING CENTER OF ADDISON! It is our job here to make learning enjoyable for our students, and for them to become self-motivated, confident learners.
Students advance through the program at their own pace. Our emphasis on individualized learning helps your child become focused, motivated and self-reliant. We monitor each child's progress to ensure comprehension before moving on to a new concept. With a strong academic foundation, critical thinking and problem solving abilities, your child has the potential to achieve whatever he or she desires.
We are located in the heart of the nation's largest restaurant district. Parents can enjoy the various amenities offered in town, while their scholars are learning.
The Kumon Math Program is a comprehensive curriculum that develops the necessary skills to help children progress from counting through calculus.
The Kumon Reading Program begins with basic phonics and progresses all the way through advanced reading comprehension.

Samina Hussain is the local Kumon Instructor in your area. She has been running her Center for over 15 years and has had the opportunity to work with a lot of local students in the Addison, CFBISD, Dallas and other school districts.
Her students chose Kumon for different reasons - some for remedial purposes because they were struggling in school, others for enrichment because they wanted to be challenged more, and some for high school or college preparation.
As an extensively trained and certified professional instructor, she serves as a mentor who guides her children through their work while also providing direction, support and encouragement. She creates an at-home study plan in addition to monitoring classroom assignments, and emphasizes the importance of accurately completing each assignment within a designated time frame. This has helped many of her students increase self-confidence, thus becoming more self-reliant. Like all Kumon Instructors, she has a true passion for education and an earnest desire to help children succeed.
"My goal is that each of my student leaves the Kumon Center happy and successful".
Samina Hussain is a certified Kumon Instructor. She has been a Kumon Instructor since October of 1999.
Samina earned her Masters Degree from Webster University in 1994. She then worked as an editor for a newspaper. She headed the Education, Environment and Health page of a major newspaper. She has always been involved with education and its promotion, since her school days.
Samina is very passionate about the Kumon program and its simple methodology of "practice makes perfect". Seeing her own children receive accolades in Math through the program, and overseeing her Kumon students advancing ahead of grade level has made her a firm believer that as a Kumon Instructor she can maximize the potential of her students with the right tools.
Samina is a prolific reader. She enjoys yoga and hiking, and experimenting (not cooking, but trying) different foods, from different cultures. She lives with her husband and two boys in Carrollton, TX.
