Kumon is a world-wide program that builds independent learning skills in math and reading. Students begin with easier work in order to learn how to work quickly and independently. Course material increases in difficulty with each section and all work is planned for each student individually. Staff is available to work one on one with students as needed. Services are offered for preschool through high school age children to study English and/or math. Young students have a ration of 2 to 1. While older students may have one on one attention at different points in the curriculum. Short daily exercises are given in order to build speed and accuracy. Students visit the center two times per week for 30 minutes. Most students enroll to learn the basics before working to three years ahead of grade level.
