Kristi's In Home Child Care

I am in the process of becoming a fully licensed family child care provider, and opening my business in my home. I have completed all preliminary requirements, including pre licensing certification. Beyond that I have two training classes that will be completed in early November, at which time I will obtain state licensing. Presently I can care for one family with one or more children, ages six weeks and older. My home is in The Landing at Standley Lake neighborhood in the north west Arvada area. I live at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, next to Little Dry Creek Trail that leads to a park about three blocks from my home. I also have a private, fenced in backyard. I am open 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday.

I have 17 years experience caring for children as a stay-at-home mom. This has been an experience that I would not trade for any other. Along with that, I obtained a B.A. in Psychology, and completed some courses in the Counseling Psychology Counseling Education masters program at CU Denver in 2010, as well as, completing courses in the masters in Special Education Teaching program through Phoenix University in 2012.

I understand how important it is in a child's development for them to be where they feel valued, cared for, safe and protected. I provide a warm and caring atmosphere, in a clean and safe environment, where children can be happy, and excited to learn and play. I also understand the importance of teaching and preparing children for school and life early in order for them to have successful experiences. It is exciting to watch them grow into the people they want to be, and were meant to be.

I believe that giving children warm and safe surroundings where they feel respected and treasured, and where they can thrive, is an invaluable endeavor. I choose to provide that place for children for these reasons. If you think your child/children will thrive in this type of environment I would like to hear from you.
