Kristi's Home Childcare

Hello. My name is Kristi.
I opened my family child care business in 2013. In 1996, my first child was born and I was fortunate to be able to stay at home with all four of my children over the years. My home is located in northwest Arvada, in The Landing At Standley Lake neighborhood. It is clean, safe, smoke-free and welcoming so children feel they are in a family home. As well, I have a large fenced-in backyard with lots of shade trees. I am open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from CU Denver, with an emphasis in early childhood development, and 1 1/2 years of graduate courses in Counseling Psychology/Counseling Education, and Special Education. With the knowledge I gained through my education, along with the experience of raising my family, I have a good understanding of the different needs of children, and of family dynamics.
Along with early learning skills and reinforcing good manners needed for entering school, it is my belief that children need time to play, explore their world, and develop their imaginations. I believe it is important for children to be exposed to books, music, toys that challenge their imaginations, and the outdoors as much as possible.
I understand how important it is for parents to have peace of mind knowing that their children are safe and being well cared for when in the care of someone else. It is important for me that I maintain open communication with the parents to ensure that your children get the care they deserve. Given our current situation with COVID-19 I have put some policies in place in order to keep families as safe as possible during this time.
