I currently watch my son (9 months) and another young one (7 1/2 months) in my home. I am looking for one more child to watch, but no more than that, as I believe in giving each child lots of individualized, positive attention. I started babysitting at the age of 12 and teaching swimming lessons/working camps starting at the age of 16. I have current certifications with Red Cross in CPR/AED, Water Safety Instructor, and Lifeguard/First Aid. I have taken two hands on, college level, Early Childhood Education classes and am currently taking Education classes (nights and weekends) toward my Special Education major online. I have 24 credit hours finished with a 4.0 GPA. I have successfully scheduled (flexible schedule) two babies this year along with helping them hit and exceed all cognitive, social, and physical skills in the recommended time frame. I believe that reading books, singing songs, and time outside in our large yard provides babies the activities they need to grow and develop into happy and healthy children. I am looking forward to adding one more child to our family.
