As first generation Vietnamese American and the eldest with three brothers, I have come to understand that education is a necessity and privilege in America. I recently graduated from UTMB with a BSN in Nursing. As a nurse, I find playing the role as aneducator is the most important. Possessing the ability to assess and evaluate the needs of our clients enable continuity of care and prevents fragmented communication, which can affects one's overall well being. Thus in terms of teaching, this skills allows me to provide an open relationships with my students to express their concerns in the realms of academics or personally. I was inspired to teach by my own experiences at school and at home. Here, I learned different learning styles that were taught to me in school and by my dad.
