About
Klondike Kids is an in-home Christian preschool and child care program in Wasilla, Alaska. We are located conveniently off Vine Road, between Parks Hwy and KGB. Klondike Kids has a child-centered, play-based philosophy. We believe in a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children, centered around Christian principles and presented in an environment which fosters the individual child's emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills. Our curriculum is guided and shaped by an experienced childhood educator, standards of developmentally appropriate practice and recommendations from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The focus of our preschool curriculum is to prepare children socially, emotionally and academically for the many challenges that elementary school brings. We use the Alpha Omega Preschool Curriculum called Horizons in our lesson plans. Through Biblically-based lessons, preschoolers will be introduced to social studies, language arts, math, phonics, science, health and safety, arts and crafts, music, and physical education.
