My name is K'Lah (pronounced Kayla). I am a 26 year old pediatric registered nurse. I have at least 10 years of experience working directly with infants and children ages 0-7. Throughout college I worked in a large daycare/preschool that also had a kindergarten class and I handled the infant/ toddler group of approx 15 kids. After college I worked as a Registered Nurse for 3 years at a pediatric trauma hospital until the birth of my son where I worked on a medical surgical/oncology floor with kids age 0-7 years. I have a 3 year old son who is the love of my life and #1 priority. We have just recently moved to NC from PA and are residing in a town home in Echo Farms (monkey junction) Wilmington. I have chosen to not go back into nursing at this time because nursing jobs can be very demanding requiring a lot of weekends, holidays and can be unpredictable in regards to schedule. I also want to continue being at home with my son until he starts school. However, I would love for him to be able to have interaction with other children and help my community.
