Kirby's In Home Daycare

My name is Kirby and I'm an actress/comedienne/new mom living in Hermosa, a neighborhood just west of Logan Square, with my very hairy husband and squishy newborn son. I love working with kids and have been a nanny on and off for families since I was in college at Indiana University.

My experience:

-I was a nanny for a family in Bloomington, Indiana while I was in college for one year. The children were 6 months old, 2 years old and 4 years old at the time.

-I also was a nanny for a family here in Chicago for a year. Their son was 1 year old at the time.

-I was the head volunteer for Park Community Church's Lincoln Park Campus nursery from 2007 to 2009 where I was in charge of watching anywhere from 3-7 infants and toddlers at a time (with help, of course).

-I was employed as a nanny by a company last year until I became pregnant with my son. I worked with many different families with children ranging in age from newborn to 8 years old.

I am very creative so it's my favorite thing to bring to working as a nanny. Whether it's doing silly voices while reading a children's book, crafts, making magical forts or going on an enchanted walk in the park, anything that will get kids fun imaginations working is fair game for me.

A little more about me, I am originally from the Chicagoland area. I've lived in the city since 2006, with a brief stint in LA from 2009 to 2011. I'm a graduate of Second City Conservatory and iO training program. I've been in commercials for KFC, Miracle Whip and Enterprise Rent-A-Car and I used to host a morning news program for the CW as well as performing in plays at different theaters around town.

What I'm looking for:

Ideally, I'd like to find a family with a child anywhere from 8 months old to a year old to watch in my home in Hermosa, a neighborhood just west of Logan Square. Hours are flexible as long as it's still full time. Please message me if you're interested. I'd love to chat and set up an interview.
