Kinderhouse Family/group Daycare

Kinderhouse Family Group Daycare has served the families of our community for 23 years. Our program provides children with the space, opportunity, and support to develop their social and academic skills for every significant phase of their lives. We believe in the power of education and the fundamentals of reading so we dedicate time throughout the day to work closely with children on fundamental reading skills. Children that are with us during regular school hours are provided with a rigorous reading program that focuses on introducing entry level phonics, sight words, and comprehension skills. As each child becomes more familiar with sight words and phonics, we support them with independent and group reading time to build vocabulary. We also work with children on entry level math skills that are points of focus upon their first days in the school classroom. For children joining us after school hours, we dedicate time for all homework to be completed. We also use homework time for any academic interventions for the areas that are particularly difficult for your child.

At Kinderhouse, we foster the imaginative spirit of all children. Throughout the day and afternoon, we give children the opportunity to participate in structured craft activities and science experiments. The activities allow the children to work in teams and develop their community building skills as well as become investigative learners.
