Kinderhaven

Kinderhaven is a licensed child care facility in Prince George's County, Maryland. Located in the community of Riverdale Park, we are easily accessible to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, East-West Highway and MD-450 (Annapolis Road).

We are a family child care facility located in a single family home. We have a spacious, well-lit dedicated child care space in the walk-out lower level. This space includes a child-accessible bathroom. Outdoors is a fully fenced yard for activities. There is plenty of parking in our large driveway, as well as dedicated parking lanes on both sides of the one-way street.

The space is set up in Montessori style, with child-sized furniture, shelving, and appropriate activities. The primary childcare provider, Rowenna Oesch, received her primary Montessori certificate from the Association Montessori International in 2011. She also has a master's degree in Education from Loyola University, Maryland. Rowenna has over ten years of child care related experience with children from birth to high school age, in addition to two years of teaching experience at a Montessori school in Maryland. She recently left her teaching position in order to care for children in her own home.

At Kinderhaven, we use the child-centered Montessori philosophy to assess the needs of each individual child enrolled and provide the best care and education possible. We are open for full time care for children six weeks to six years and part time care for children six weeks to 12 years.
