Kimcare

We are a loving in-home daycare that specializes in pre-k. We work closely with the local elementary school to be sure that our kids are learning the skills they need for kindergarten. My partner has been doing child-care in her home since 1996. I started with her 2 years ago as a career change and it has been infinitely rewarding. Our daily routine starts with breakfast, then free play time, a morning snack, "schoolwork" and artwork according to age and ability, lunch, nap, afternoon snack, homework time for the older kids, outside time for the younger kids, and transportation to gymnastics or dance for some of the kids on certain days. Each child is treated as a member of our family. We also take field trips about once a month to places like the zoo, the Children's Museum, parks, and spray pads (during summer).
We do have children in our care from time to time who have special needs, and will work with the parents to develop their social and educational skills. We will take children as young as 6 months old up to pre-k at this time. We have no openings for school-age children. We charge $25/day, $125/week, but we are only taking full-time children at this time.
We DO have the ability to take children who are mildly sick, or have been on antibiotics long enough to not be contagious. For the health of the other children in our care, we ask that you not bring any child who has a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, colored discharge coming from their nose, or has a deep, croup-like cough. Once the child has seen a doctor, we can let them rest quietly in another room, away from the other children, as long as vomiting, diarrhea, and fever have gone away.
We also offer 2 weeks vacation to all parents with the stipulation that the parents give us at least 2 weeks advance notice or their intended time off. If you have questions, please feel free to e-mail or call anytime.
