Hello. I would love to speak with you about your Childcare needs. Below is more about me.

I first opened my family and my home in 1996 after years of trying to find the right childcare and caregiver for my boys. I wanted a home, a extended family, a place they could be kids and play, be safe and loved. I wanted a "second Mom" for them when I could not be there, but all I found was "Baby boot camps". Where everything was scheduled to the minute. Yuck! So I quit my job and opened a childcare. I have been a "second Mom" to many, many children over the years.
I have three children in my care now ( one is my own) and am looking to add only 3 more. They range in age from infant to 4 years.
I do not mind early hours, late hours or those crazy shift hours.
We love, have fun, go places, hang out, play games, run outside, bake, craft, color, explore, go to games and events ... Everything kids love to do!

I charge reasonable and affordable rates. I am not doing this to be rich. I am doing this to give kids a chance at a great childhood when their parents cannot be there. I have back up caregivers on call for those crazy emergencies that arise too.

PROVIDER:
25 years experience working in childcare centers, in home day cares, religious nurseries & Mom of 5.
9 years teaching experience with speech therapy, preschool aged through elementary children, counseling and Montessori experience.
10 years experience directing summer camps, VBS programs, birth - jr high religious activities
CPR & First Aid trained.
10 years experience with special diets for food and other allergies.
Anaphylaxis prevention and response trained.
References, new and older available on request.
Back up provider for emergencies. 4 adults always on call.
Title XX approved.

FACILITY:
In home CHILDCARE.
Care areas are main areas of the home.
Treated as a home not a business.

HOURS:
I limit the number of kids in my care to 1/3 of what the State says is standard.
Many shifts available: early, midday and evening. Split shifts are also welcome.

CHILDREN:
Children are welcomed like part of a family not a classroom member.
Age appropriate learning and play activities daily.
Weekly outings. Library, children's museum, park, walks, zoo, out-to-eat, mall ... Etc.
2 meals and 3 snacks.
Child led play daily.
Adult assisted play daily.
Outside time daily (weather appropriate).
Quiet time (nap if needed)
Clarence are exposed to daily family functions too.
Special days: water day, cooking day, jamie day, fun day, cookie day, "sundae"...
Manners insisted upon.
Schedule follows a structure but not a strict time schedule. This allows children to grow and explore their environment on a flexible schedule. This type of scheduling encourages self confidence and self taught patients. While building understanding of the world and others around them.

Part time and full time welcome.
*Odd, changing hours, split shifts, on call hours, third shift and overnight care are considered on individual basis.

*We do have trained therapy dogs, cats, a guinea pig, a tortoise and a frog! Kids get to interact as appropriate.
