Kids Academy Pdx

Kid's Academy is one of the oldest locally-owned child care facilities in the Cedar Mill Community. Founded in 1998, we have thrived on word of mouth and referral based business for over 20 years. Our approach is simple: Let children come as they are, be who they are and encourage them every step of the way. We tailor our activities to fit all able children and welcome diversity into the Kids Academy Family.

Our preschool program runs every morning, giving us the opportunity to help each child accomplish a task they are proud of. We focus our preschool program on kindergarten preparation and making sure the children are building self esteem in the process. We are very open to working with all children and their unique needs. It's all about them succeeding in their own way!

Our Infant and Toddler room is focused on development and movement. We prepare daily activities for each infant and toddler according to age and ability. We work on your schedule with naps if you have a preference. Bring us a schedule and we can accommodate it for you and your family.

Lunch menus are posted weekly.
We are always a peanut free facility.

My name is Abbie Simmons and I was born and raised in the Cedar Mill Community. I attended West TV, Cedar Park and outside of a brief stint in the Bay Area, I have always resided within a mile of my center. My roots are deep and true to Portland, with both of my parents growing up in the Portland area. I have four children. Two are grown up and have both graduated from The University of Oregon. The other two are still immersed in High School youth sports and Little League, leaving my free time spent with my children at the ball field. My passion has always been to help children live up to their full and unique potential.
