Kids Academy Of Mckinney

Kids Academy of McKinney (KAM) is a curriculum-based home daycare with Christian values and an educational theme for infants, aged 6 weeks through 5 years. We seek to inspire the inquisitive nature of children by guiding them on an exploratory journey that includes; creative play, audio and visual media, reinforcement worksheets, field trips, manipulates and nature. Each week will have its own theme, with coordinating activities to reinforce the educational theme for the week. Depending on the theme, some may extend longer than 1 week. Each week will have activities that include Math, Reading, Art and Science. We subscribe to an online curriculum that has received numerous awards and strong parent reviews. Our goal is to ensure that your little one is ready and among the top performers when he/she enters Kindergarten.
KAM also offers before/after school care for school-aged children with transportation to/from school. We will ensure that your child is fed a nutritious breakfast before school and a filling afternoon snack after school. KAM also offers tutoring and homework assistance during this time to help re-teach concepts that were not grasped during the school day or for children that may just require some additional help. Since KAM is a learning environment, we encourage kids to work in teams and we provide electronic resources (i.e. computer, iPad) to aid them with assignments, if they choose. Our school-aged children are also able to unwind by watching a special feature film on Fridays as well as educational programming in the afternoons. The special feature film will be announced the week prior so if there is any discrepancy with the film that is being shown for that week, we can make other arrangements for your child during the viewing for that film. Other than for the feature film, TV viewing is limited in the afternoons.
