About the business
Kiddos Lingua is the Spanish after-school program during the current school year. Space is limited to 30 elementary schoolchildren from any district in the Coachella Valley including home-schooled students. First come, first served!
Kiddos Lingua focuses on:
-Teaching Spanish as a second language
-Homework Support
-Art Projects
The program is led by two qualified teachers: Mrs. Yipsy De Armas, B.S. in Education, and Mr. Luis Miguel Cruz, M.A. in Teaching Spanish. Both are bilingual professors, native Spanish speakers, background checked and hold teaching credentials.
Complementing the learning that happens at school in English, this after-school program has the unique opportunity of teaching Spanish as a second language. Kiddos Lingua opens the door to Hispanic culture and traditions.
Children will learn the four fundamental skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing utilizing the "Spanish for Kids" curriculum throughout the school year. Students from Kindergarten to 5th grade at James Monroe and other elementary schools in the Coachella Valley are welcome to enroll and remain steady in the program.
Kiddos who come from Latino/Hispanic communities will learn how to read, write and improve their oral fluency. For those children with a different linguistic background, the program represents an incredible opportunity to master the second most spoken language in the United States at schools, businesses, and society in general.
Kiddos Lingua's main goal is to create a linguistic foundation in elementary school children before they take Spanish courses in middle and high school. Becoming bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate will help students to succeed in education, the job market, and their personal lives.
SCHEDULE:
-Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30PM to 5:30PM.
-Thursday from 12:15PM to 5:30PM.
* Snacks will be provided.
Monthly Tuition (USD):
-5 days a week: $350
-4 days a week: $335
-3 days a week: $300
A yearly contract is required. Tuition is due on or before the first business day of the month. Preferred payment methods: check or money order.

I've had my daughter in this academic after school program since it started in 2015 at James Monroe Elementary School. Mrs. Yipsy and Mr. Luis are wonderful Spanish teachers. They take really good care of my child while teaching her Spanish in a way she understands, gets motivated, and wants to learn more. Teachers do a lot of interactive activities like worksheets, games, songs, dances, and performances in Spanish. Highly recommended for parents who want to raise bilingual English-Spanish children.
