Kid Kair

I teach children about things in their immediate environment. This includes things like pointing out colors, shapes, textures, sounds and showing ASL signs for toys, furniture, pictures, food, etc. I encourage self help skills as much as possible throughout everyday activities. I change toys and books every couple of months to keep things fresh and promote learning. I view nap time as a time for quiet independent activities. I will allow any child under school age to get up from their rest mat after 30 minutes if they are still awake. School-aged children will be expected to read or do a quiet activity for quiet time. I follow the Adults and Children's Alliance Food program for all meals served.
