Kelsey's In-home Daycare

Choosing the perfect childcare situation can be a difficult and emotional experience, and if you are like me, you want nothing but the best for your little one.
I am here to help.
My name is Kelsey, and I have recently made the decision to begin my in-home daycare after finding myself in the same situation as you. When I had to make the tough choice to go back to work after maternity leave, my main priority was finding the best care imaginable. Hiring a nanny was my number one option, however, because of the expense, that was not feasible. After settling on an in-home daycare, mainly because of the low teacher-child ratio, I felt comfort in leaving my child so I could return to work. It was not easy, but I can tell you firsthand that she has had a BLAST!! She has also become incredibly social at her young age of 9 months!

Working in childcare for a majority of my life, and also obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Social Science and an Associate's in Psychology, has given me the perfect tools to set out on my journey of beginning my childcare business. This is not your typical in-home daycare. My goal is to take no more than 3 children, to cater to those of you who had hoped to have a nanny, but found yourself in the same situation as I did. The small ratio of children is conducive to a loving, and home-like environment, giving me the ability to foster each child's unique developmental growth. (It will also minimize the chances of illness, that comes with the territory of a group setting.) Each day we will enjoy a variety of educational activities, imaginative play, and we will work one on one to master those important developmental milestones. Language immersion will also be a part of our day-to-day, as I will integrate basic Spanish into our activities. I have a newly landscaped yard for daily outdoor time, as long as the weather permits, as well as a small park right behind my house. Healthy, organic meals and snacks will be served daily, and I am willing, and able, to cater to any special dietary needs.
