Hello! My name is Tom Duemke, I am a college student from Minnesota who is currently looking for daytime nanny jobs in the LA area for the summer months of May through August.
I have roughly five years of child care experience. My mom owns her own in home daycare and since I was sixteen I have been helping her out with the kids. At times I am solely responsible for up to eight children ranging in age from six months to five years. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, changing diapers, food preparation, entertaining the children, supervising arts + craft time, and conflict resolution.
In addition to helping out at my mom's daycare, I also spent two summers in high school as a nanny for two children. One boy age 10, and his sister, age 6. Responsibilities included making them breakfast and lunch, driving the children to nearby entertainment occasionally, and general oversight.
I am best with children between the ages of three and ten, but I know how to take care of babies and toddlers just as well. I can also help with homework up through high school level for sure. I am a junior physics major so I am no stranger to math and science type homework and could assist into higher subject areas if need be.
