About
My husband and I are opening our home in Holualoa to 2 children between the ages of 0-6 years. We have a baby and preschooler and would like to find another family seeking warm, personal daily care. We are looking for a family who prefers lots of outdoor time, reading, crafts and imaginative play and avoids screen time.
Both my husband and I have education experience. I have worked at nearby Holualoa Elementary School as a teacher and tutor for five years. I was also an administrator at City of Lakes Waldorf school on the mainland for several years. In addition to raising two children of my own, I have nannying experience with multiples. My husband taught at Kealakehe High School for several years and is very involved in raising our children.
Our parenting philosophy is about simplicity, letting the child explore the world within safe parameters and practicing kindness and good manners. We live on a 10 acre coffee and mac nut farm in Holualoa where outdoor play spaces abound. (We have 3 adorable ducks and an indoor/outdoor cat.)
Our rate is $15 per hour with 5 full days possible. We will provide healthy lunches and snacks. We could also discuss assisting you with errands like Costco runs, Post Office pick up/drop etc. If you are interested, please message me privately so we can meet to see if our families could be a good fit.
Our summer travel plans will take us to the mainland for much of June and July, but we'd love to run a trial period soon. Our family is eager to meet you and your family!
