Kayla Laine Perkinson

My name is Kayla and I'm a working student who stays at home three days of the week with my boyfriend's three year old daughter Cadence. We have a lot of fun together, and through out the day we do a lot of fun and educational activities. Between learning the ABC's, learning numbers, and playing outdoors, we never sit still.

I'm hoping to find a playmate or two that would like to join in on the fun on any Sunday or Tuesday through this summer, Cady loves to play and a little bit of extra income would be really beneficial.

To summarize my experience with children, aside from being a "step mama" myself, I have been an assistant coach for both softball and cheerleading in the past, and I spent the summer after I graduated high school working with a Raleigh swim lessons company teaching children aged 3-10 how to swim in one-on-one lessons. My CPR certification is not currently up to date, but I'm considering regaining that certification.

I do have babysitting experience with multiples, as I have two god daughters aged 2 and 3, and I often keep my nephew, aged 19 months. I can provide multiple character references and the names of parents who I have sat for in the past.

Professionally speaking, I own two small businesses. One of which it is my dream to turn into a successful career. I am a children's muralist and run my own Etsy shop selling children's decorative paintings on commission. It is my dream to get away from canvases and do more large scale wall murals here in the triangle. I can provide you with examples of my work if interested, because I think my work will accurately depict my talents as an artist. I'm working on a design degree currently, with intent to finish an education degree as well and teach high school art until my business as a muralist is successful enough to support a family. If you choose me as your sitter, your child will participate in LOTS of arts and crafts, as it is one of our favorite things to do.

Aside from having an entire closet full of arts and crafts materials, my apartment is full of fun toys, and we often play with sidewalk chalk in the back yard, or blow bubbles on our spacious patio. Most Tuesdays we go to the pool, and Cady has already begun learning how to swim. If you're looking for a Tuesday sitter and want your child to learn their swimming basics, I can provide that.
