I am a fun and energetic person looking to provide care in my home for up to three children. I have a four year old step daughter and we our expecting one of our own in March 2015!

Aside from being a home maker, I'm currently working on my degree with the intention of teaching high school art, and I own my own small business doing children's painting, furniture refurbishment, and decor. We love doing arts and crafts, and I strive to encourage imagination in my household. Aside from arts and crafts, I spend much of my time with my daughter teaching her reading and math basics and we're working hard to prepare her for elementary school. In the past, I have taught swim lessons and coached cheerleading to ages varying between 3 and 8 years and have experience working with multiple children at a time. My community does have a swimming pool, and I am more than prepared and willing to help your little one get comfortable in the water during the summer months.
About once a week, I would like to take the children I provide care for to a park or museum and let them experience something outside of the home.

My reasons for wanting to provide care, aside from the enjoyment I get from working with children, are that I am hoping to find an employer that will be capable and willing to work with me during the maternity leave I will require during the months of March and April in 2015, after which I will be more than excited to return to work as normal. I will do my best to help any employer find temporary care for their children during the weeks I will take my leave, though I hope to keep that time as short as possible. Additionally, I'm hoping to provide my daughter with some playmates and prepare her for the kind of group settings she will encounter when she starts elementary school.

I do prefer to provide care in my own home, but I am open to other options if I find a good match that understands the need for me to bring my daughter along with me. Additionally, I would like to mention that I do have two very cuddly cats who are great with children, but I feel any parent should know this before considering me as an applicant in case of pet allergies.

Regarding my rates- this is open for discussion and based upon many variables. Number of children, amount of hours, whether you would prefer I provide lunches and snacks, or if you will be sending your children to me with a lunch box, etc. I would love to answer any questions you may have.
