I love kids and I am very aware of how to deal with them. I'm about to go through all the processes of getting certified in Babysitting Basics, Advanced Child Care Training, and of course Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. I have a soon-to-be 4 year old and I briefly watched my 4 year old nephew (who is highly allergic to milk, eggs, nuts, cat dander, and the mulberry tree in my yard - he never had any reactions!) and I just fell in love with the idea of structuring children. We use the timeout method and at first he didn't cooperate because he is use to being physically disciplined but after enough times he eventually accepted that this is how it is and if he wants out of timeout he has to comply. People may giggle about it but the show Super Nanny really has great techniques. I taught that boy so many things that I can't wait to do it again for more children.
