We gave this Kennel a 2nd chance after the owner was gone and left her staff there by themselves to run her kennel over a weekend we had our pups here.
On this particular weekend we got no updates on how our boys were doing so that was a bit concerning but I brushed that off. At pickup the young gal there couldn't tell me where my boys food bag was, have any of their belongings gathered up, they were in the opposite kennel so she was calling them by the wrong name, and she didnt seem to know how to reach out to the owner when asked. I also let this go as she seemed a bit overwhelmed.
We all get home and I unpack their food/treat bag to find their treats untouched and 4 out of the 5 serving of food still in the bag. I had written out exactly who gets what and when so this would not happen!!! I was beside myself and reached out to Kathy about all the issues.
After a lengthy discussion and time we chose to give Kathy's animal Ark another try, that was a HUGE mistake!! Our 13 year old pup came home very sick. What we thought were very bad 1st time allergies from her Kennel, we now suspect is Kennel cough. He's never had either in the passed and is up to date on all vaccines, including bordatella which in most cases prevents the cough but isn't a guarantee if other animals aren't properly vaccinated at the same place. I'm beside myself with worry at this point as no vet would take on new patience over the weekend and our vet is closed.
I will always go with gut instinct from here on out as I was never asked about my babies vaccination records which was another 1st for me here and when I gave them to Kathy she seemed to brush them aside.
In my 16 years of Kenneling my pups at various Kennels, I have never had any issues even close to this Kennels issues. And yes shame on me for putting my babies in this situation more than once, Never again!!!!
