My name is Katie and I am a married mother of 2 little girls, ages 5 and 2. We live in a beautiful, safe area of Lafayette, LA. I have been providing childcare since the young age of 12 years old, and have continued caring for children of all ages through college, into my adult years and now raising my own children. I have also provided some educational tutoring in Science, English and Writing on occasion for ages 4 - 18.
Since the age of 17, I have retained a certification as a lifeguard/swim instructor as well as holding certifications for CPR, First Aid, First Response, Accident Prevention, Heart-Starter, Rescue Skills and also AED. These "certifications" have been retained due to the fact that I had continue to "substitute" or "pick-up" both lifeguard shifts and swimming instruction shifts. I also have training in specialized care for head, neck and spinal injuries and have been certified previously as an EMT.
Aside from this, my love and appreciation for children is what carried me happily through life.
