Kate enjoyed a successful professional career as an activity director for ten years. However, she has decided to take a break from her career outside the home, and focus on her career as a mom. She is now a proud stay at home mom of a three year old son and one year old daughter. Knowing full well how difficult it is to find quality childcare, Kate offers a small in home daycare program.
In a small intimate setting, with no more than four children (this includes Kate's own) Kate's Place offers a fun, engaging, nurturing environment in which children thrive. Developmentally appropriate activities, arts and crafts, reading, sensory exploration, time outdoors, and lots of FUN are part of everyday. Outings to the library, playground, and community play groups also give the children an opportunity to interact and learn from their environment and socialize with others. Nutritious and delicious meals and snacks are included.
Kate's home is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood in Barre Town. The house has lots of indoor space for children to play and learn both as a group and independently and a large, fenced in backyard for running and exploring.
In addition to a professional career as an activity director, Kate has a bachelors degree in human development and family studies. She has over 15 years of experience caring for children and is competent in CPR and first aid.
