Kate's Kiddos Daycare

At Kate's Kiddos Daycare we align our curriculum to the Early Childhood Standards of Quality provided by the Michigan Department of Education. Young learners are natural, enthusiastic learners. Their impulse to ask questions, to investigate, and to explore, examine, and experiment, comes from a burning curiosity about the world and a desire to understand things. We work everyday to install a love for learning through discovery, discourse, and, most importantly, play! We do this through Discovery Centers, Music and Movement, and Sensory Play.

I graduated with my BA in Elementary Education with a major in Literature Arts with coursework in Early Childhood Education. I taught grades k-6 in S. Korea, substitute taught grades k-12 in MI, and taught first grade gifted students in AZ. I LOVE children and teaching, however, after becoming a first time mommy I needed to walk away from my career in education to focus on my son. Now that my son is older, I want to return to my passion of educating and caring for children. I enjoy teaching my son through sensory play and discovery of the world around him. I know that I can provide this same care for another family in need! I'm so blessed to be a stay-at-home mom, but I'm still a teacher at heart and want to provide my expertise in child development and learning to a family, while providing child care!
